St. Nicholas on Bersenevka

St. Nicholas Church on the Bersenevka Embankment, Moscow

This little gem of a church stole my heart!
I found this completely by accident. I was standing on the bridge taking some panoramic shots of the Kremlin, when I happened to notice something shiny and gold through the trees. I knew it would be a church, but I never imagined I would find this!
It's so beautiful, but it's hidden away like a treasure...
The top picture was taken exactly a year ago, August 29, 2007!
